Clinical Supervision

All professionals need oversight and support.

It’s time to level up – and that means getting your clinical license for individual practice.

Great idea! Clinical supervision opens many more opportunities for you, even if you don’t want to do clinical work.

Quality clinical supervision is something a social worker should always seek for continued growth and development – even after getting the Certification.

Finding your clinical identity.

There are a lot of theories out there to explore. I like to work from an eclectic point of view, but I also believe that a good grounding is essential, too.

I’m a psychodynamic girl at heart, but I love incorporating aspects of CBT, DBT, ERP, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance, all to use the approach that will work best for each client – which is why we spent all those $$$ on a master’s degree, isn’t it?

Here’s my offer to you.

I focus on case conceptualization, treatment planning, recognizing client strengths, skill-building, ethical decision-making, and writing skills.

Writing skills are important. They will be the difference between getting paid and getting stiffed if you’re working with insurance or Medicare/Medicaid. Good notes have a flowing structure that makes sure you won’t miss a step. (Horrifying vocabulary word for the day: Clawbacks.)

I will work with your job and current supervisors to review documentation and case-management skills. (Check with your boss; your current position may help with supervision cost.)

I will also help you pass your LCSW test by tutoring you through the practice test to make sure you understand the material. Additionally, I will teach you how the test is structured. Once you learn how the questions are built, you will know how to avoid the pitfalls. (Writing again! I told you it’s important!)

Let’s focus on enhancing your skills while you gain insight and guidance.

Call today for your free consultation, and we can discuss your supervision needs and situation.
